Career Desk browser extension privacy policy
Effective July 19, 2026
The Caliber Career Desk browser extension helps you save a job posting you are viewing to your private Career Desk account. It acts only when you click the extension.
Information the extension handles
- Job information visible on the active page, such as job title, employer, location, description, compensation when listed, employment type, and the page URL.
- A revocable Career Desk connection token stored in your browser. The extension never receives or stores your Career Desk password.
- Connection, save, duplicate, rate-limit, and security events maintained by Career Desk to operate and protect the service.
How information is used
Job information is displayed for your review and sent to Career Desk only when you choose to save it. We use the connection token to associate that save with the correct account and use limited operational records for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
What the extension does not do
- It does not monitor your browsing history.
- It does not read pages unless you click the extension.
- It does not submit applications or interact with employers.
- It does not sell extension data or use it for advertising.
Storage and deletion
Saved opportunities remain in Career Desk until you delete them or delete your account, subject to applicable backup and security retention. You can revoke a browser connection from Career Desk Account Settings or disconnect it inside the extension.
Service providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by hosting and infrastructure providers that support Career Desk. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect users, the service, or our rights.
Security
Career Desk uses revocable connection tokens, short-lived pairing codes, rate limiting, and encrypted network connections. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
